My two favorite designers from NYFW...
KHAITE
Catherine Holstein keeps impressing us more and more with her understanding of a true woman today. Her esthetic is feminine and powerful at the same time. Her color palette is as New Yorker as it comes, and her textures flow seemlessly between each other. But what makes me fall in love with her collections more and more is that they are truly timeless and can work as staples in your closet season after season. In my opinion, she will take a fashion thrown that THE ROW sisters have been sitting on for so long;)
PROENZA SCHOULER
Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez are one of the best duos in fashion. Their vision and their story aligns perfectly with each other. My favorite part about their collections is that they are absolutely not influenced by trends and keep their vision aligned with their initial collections. I love how they manipulate leather and make it look as light as silk. Their boots are amazing and timeless. But what takes the top spot for me is tailoring and architectural approach to the shapes of skirts and blazers.
